Summary

The Image Management Assistant will work directly with the PACS Administrator and will monitor PACS/HIS import and export of pending exams for onsite/offsite Mercy orders to assure timely report turnaround times. They must be proficient in using the document scanning application for outside images and legal (MRO) requests. They will be responsible for the import of outside studies from CDs into PACS for Imaging and Women's Imaging and any other ancillary departments who may need access to outside imaging studies. They must have knowledge of the Radiology Module in the HIS and MRO application. They will monitor wet and stat reads in PACS. Must monitor PACS problem study queue and be able to troubleshoot and/or correct problems. Must maintain worklists of studies that are not read by radiologist but stored in PACS or pending in Meditech. Must be able to burn CDs, print film, and fax reports. They must follow up on studies that have not been dictated to assist in report turnaround time. They must understand imaging workflow and how all of the different computer systems interact with one another. Must cover in other departments within Imaging, such as the front desks. All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCEMust possess a high school diploma or GEDPrefer some advance study in computer-based curriculum and working knowledge of filmless radiology environment.
