Are you self-motivated and independent? Then this dynamic role is for you! We are adding an Electrical Engineer to our team. You will be responsible for support of controls, programming, power design, drawings/schematics, project engineering and troubleshooting equipment. The role will work closely with internal electricians and external electrical contractors and reports to the Maintenance and Facility Sr Manager for the site. The position will also require time on the facility floor to learn and understand the infrastructure and layout of the site. What you'll do: Develop, maintain and assist with HMI systems. Develop, maintain, and assist with PLC systems. Work with AC/DC motor and power distribution. Design and upgrade electrical schematics and diagrams. Provide redlines for any changes performed and ensure accuracy. Provide root cause problem solving for electrical infrastructure or technical issues. Research and procure hardware and software utilized in industrial electrical control systems. Research and development of new technology to update and enhance industrial electrical systems. Work within the maintenance team and support the overall site electrical needs. Develop, recommend and implement migration paths for obsolete controls and components. Continue to maintain Arc-flash models for site electrical system. Create recommendations and identify areas of improvement within the facility and executive buildings. Work with Engineering department to support project development plans and execution.What you'll bring: B.S. degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited school. 3+ years of Plant Electrical Engineering experience. Knowledge of NFPA 70 requirements Project leadership experience. Experience with or willingness to learn Allen-Bradley PLC programming and other various platforms.
