The Human Resource Manager I / Payroll Manager will:
Serve as the Payroll Supervisor for the Health Care Authority (HCA);Provide a full range of payroll specialized skills and job knowledge to support all HCA staff;Monitor payroll data to ensure pay period deadlines are met, and payroll runs timely and accurate.How does it get done?
The Human Resource Manager I / Payroll Manager is responsible for:
Supervising payroll staff;Overseeing bi-weekly payroll processing for all HCA employees;Processing and reconciling bi-weekly payroll journal entries;Completing bi-weekly and monthly reconciliations of payroll liabilities;Processing all of payroll related items and functions in a timely, accurate and efficient manner;Providing a full range of payroll specialized skills and job knowledge to support all HCA staff.Who are the customers?
Health Care Authority Employees, and other State Agencies.Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has experience:
Supervising;Working in Payroll, SHARE Financials, and SHARE HCM:Proficiently using Microsoft Excel functions;Effectively communicating verbally and written;Providing excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in any related field and two (2) years of experience in human resource operations; recruitment, selection, payroll, compensation, and benefits administration and/or occupational analysis. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
