The Administrative Operations Manager II / Hunger Initiative Coordinator will:
Lead a number of initiatives designed to alleviate poverty;Lead the Rural Healthcare Delivery Fund and new projects assigned to the department.How does it get done?
The Administrative Operations Manager II / Hunger Initiative Coordinator is responsible for:
Developing two strategic plans corresponding to each initiative in collaboration with state agencies and community stakeholders;Coordinating internal and external meeting, conducting research, drafting policy recommendations and stakeholder engagement.Who are the customers?
Citizens of New Mexico;Providers.Ideal Candidate
The Ideal Candidate has:
Knowledge of New Mexico State Statutes and New Mexico Medicaid;Experience working with Microsoft Office 365;Experience in project management principles;Ability to meet strict deadlines, change priorities, work independently, make informed decisions and deliver exceptional customer service;Ability to critically think and problem solve;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Experience overseeing technical implementations;Experience managing a large program or project that includes strategic planning, communicating, developing and implementing programs and services;Experience interacting with federal and state agencies as well as large span of interested parties.
Minimum Qualification
A Bachelor's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of professional level experience with a light strategic impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include management, supervisory and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.

4 years of experience• Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position.
• If Minimum Qualification requires a specific number of "semester hours" in a field (e.g. 6 semester hours in Accounting), applicants MUST have those semester hours in order to meet the minimum qualifications. No substitutions apply for semester hours.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain valid driver's license.
Must obtain a Defensive drivers' certification.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
