Summary:

The VP of Accounting to the CFO and oversees all accounting operations, including the ERP program. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, provides accurate and timely financial information to regulatory bodies and management, and plays a pivotal role in driving the company's financial strategy. The VP is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting processes in accordance with US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations while providing strategic financial leadership across the organization.

Job Details:

Serve as the primary liaison between the CFO and all Accounting functions, providing comprehensive oversight and strategic directionLead the implementation and ongoing management of the ERP program, with a focus on integrating and optimizing Accounting and Finance processesDevelop and implement accounting and finance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standardsLead and mentor a team of accounting and accounts payable professionals to foster effective collaboration and accounting excellence in support of the businessManage the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reportingOversee the internal and external audit process to support the annual audit process and certification of financial statementsEvaluate, implement, and optimize accounting and finance systems and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiencyProvide strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by the executive team and board of directorsStay current on accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and driving improvement within the accounting functionsLead and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and understanding of Accounting processes and standards to efficiently support business needs while meeting Accounting standards and best practicesOversee the preparation and analysis of the financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statementsCollaborate with the team to develop and manage departmental budgets and resource allocation for Accounting functionsCollaborate with the CFO to develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with company goalsQualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent degree requiredActive CPA is required10+ years of progressive experience in Accounting management and leadership positions leading relevant functions7+ years relevant accounting/controllership experiencePublic company and/or Big 4 accounting and financial reporting experience preferredExperience in Energy, energy storage, renewables and/or construction preferredExtensive experience with ERP systems implementation and managementExperience related to percentage of completion and project accounting is preferredDemonstrated experience managing accounting operations in a complex, multi-entity environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insightsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organizationState, Federal and Local tax knowledgeStrategic mindset with a focus on driving process improvement and developing the capabilities of the Accounting and Finance teamsProven leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potentialRemote opportunity with Portland and Denver area preferredLimited US domestic travel requirements to attend team and other key leadership and collaboration meetings

Compensation for this position is commensurate with location, experience and relevant skills. The national Average Base Salary Range is $270,000-$298,000. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and personal performance.
