Job Description

Under the direction of the Property Controller, the

Assistant Property Controller

is responsible for the maintenance and coordination of accounting books and records. The Assistant Property Controller prepares, reviews, analyzes, and presents various accounting processes inclusive of journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, and revenue & expense variance presentation.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepares general ledger closing entriesReviews, analyzes, and presents financial statementsReconciles bank accountsReconciles general ledger balance sheet accounts and maintains proper backupExercises proper judgment and presents all findings with a game plan to resolve issuesAssists and supports other staff members and other department managersCarries out any reasonable request by management that the employee is capable of performingQualifications

Education and/or Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with five years of experience in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education training and experienceExperience in the timeshare industry is highly desired.Proficient knowledge of various Accounting software. Oracle Fusion knowledge is preferredProficient in Excel and Word - Intermediate to Advance levelMust possess strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication skills both written and oralMust possess strong analytical abilitiesAbility to work independently and in a group environment (team player)Additional Information
