Montgomery County Recreation is a nationally recognized and award-winning agency committed to providing high-quality, diverse, and accessible programs, services, and facilities that enhance the quality of life for all ages, cultures, and abilities. The department manages 39 facilities, including recreation centers, senior centers, and indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities, and provides thousands of programs such as out-of-school activities, aquatics, classes, youth and adult sports programs and leagues, senior programs, and therapeutic recreation.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Program Assistant you will:
Provide exceptional customer service by looking up and sharing accurate information.
Assists with supervision of participants in school-based or recreation center-based programs or activities.
Set up and break down equipment.
Monitor activities and ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
Lead recreation activities.
Assist with problem-solving and troubleshooting during programs or activities.Assist with cleaning and organizing of facility or program.
Learn something new EVERY DAY!
To be a successful Program Assistant, you MUST:
Be able to follow directions.
Hourly rate for the seasonal position is $17.15
Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
Some work experience as a participant or instructor in one or more recreation activities is preferred.
Education:
Ability to read and write in English.
Equivalency:
None
