The Administrative Assistant for Food Services is responsible for support and assistance in all aspects of Food Program Department.

Coordinate and support food service team with all aspects of the Food and Nutrition Program Work with Lancer Food Manager & Lancer Food Service Team to develop monthly menu and send out breakfast and lunch menus to families, staff and students and post on HCPA website Assist Lancer Food Service and other colleagues and supervisor to coordinate food commodities on an ongoing basis Perform annual dissemination and collect and maintain and certified student Lunch Benefits Forms (Education Benefit Forms) Maintain daily head-count click and check-out students during all breakfast & lunch time Collect breakfast and lunch fees from staff for Adult Meals served daily Assist business office to send out overdue lunch fees to staff members as needed Assist in the coordination and submit of monthly CLICS claims to MDE for Food & Nutrition for reimbursement according to schedule determined by school administration and MDE Assist with daily arrangement of fresh fruit and veggies snacks and deliver them to appropriate classrooms and daily collect of food bins under the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program Assist in the tracking and daily student click count during Dinner Program for After School Assist and coordinate cold lunch with Lancer Food for all field trips Engage and supervise students during breakfast and lunch when done student click counts Daily sweeping cafeteria floor, clean and wipe lunchroom tables during breakfast and lunch periods Help student put away breakfast and lunch trays and monitor students to ensure they separate eating utensils in separated bins Coordinate and run errands to go and purchase refreshments outside of school for school meetings, parent workshops, board meetings, etc. Attend food service workshops when necessary Supervise student activities, which may include: o Bus duty - assist with walking students to the busses at the end of the day o Breakfast and/or lunch duty - assist with monitoring based on a rotational schedule Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisor or administration Accountabilities

Responds appropriately and promptly to parent, student, and staff member needs. Maintains strict confidentiality regarding students and the educational setting. Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Administration, Business or equivalent of experience may be considered. Must be flexible and able to work late hours during school wide-events and weekend when deemed necessary Ability to work with others and be a team player General knowledge of food program and services Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to work effectively with students, parents, district staff and community members from diverse backgrounds. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task. Knowledge of the programs, functions, and procedures of a school setting. Ability to remain calm in emergency and stressful situations. Ability to exercise initiative and sound and effective judgment within established guidelines.
