Cordia Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant. In this role, you will provide crucial support in the areas of reconciliations, month-end close, and journal entries. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those early in their accounting careers to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation and posting of journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.- Support the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and the preparation of financial statements.- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of various accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.- Collaborate with other members of the finance team to ensure the integrity of the financial reporting process.- Maintain and organize financial documents and records.- Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed.- Provide support for any other accounting tasks or projects as required.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.- Previous experience or internships in accounting is a plus, but not required.
