JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILSJob Summary:The Executive Director of the CalvertHealth Foundation leads and manages fundraising efforts for the Medical Center and Medical Group to fulfill the mission of the Health System. The executive director is responsible for planning and executing fundraising strategies, building and maintaining relationships with donors, working in collaboration with the Foundation Board of Trustees and overseeing grants and managing operations of the foundation office. The Executive Director is responsible for the design, implementation and marketing of all fund development for the Foundation, consistent with the Foundation's mission and goals. This responsibility is performed in partnership with the Board of Directors and key volunteer leaders coordinating special programs and events.
Education:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master's degree preferred.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:Certificate in Professional Fundraising (CFRE) preferred
Experience:Minimum of five to 10 years' experience in fundraising and development providing effective and proven leadership, including the ability to engage with executives, board of directors/trustees and lead a progressive organization.
Other Requirements:Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience as a public speaker.Strong team player.Experience in health care related grant writing and support preferred.
