Kickstart your career with SteelFab as a Project Engineer, where you’ll dive right into the fast-paced world of construction. In this full-time role, you’ll work side-by-side with our Pre-Construction and Project Management teams on a variety of exciting projects. You’ll get hands-on experience, build your skills, and make a real impact by taking on key tasks like:Key Responsibilities:Collaboration:
Engage with the Estimating department to gather subcontractor pricing for new project estimates.Scope Analysis:
Review and analyze subcontractor bids to ensure alignment with project specifications.Material and Labor Take-Offs:
Utilize company software to perform detailed material and labor take-offs.Pricing Reviews:
Prepare pricing recaps for senior leadership.Client Engagement:
Follow up on submitted bids and maintain strong customer relationships.Client Communication:
Issue Requests for Information (RFIs) to clients, ensuring all project details are clear and accurate.Schedule Management:
Maintain and update shipping and project schedules to ensure timely delivery.Purchase Orders & Subcontracts:
Write and issue purchase orders and subcontracts to vendors.Change Order Requests:
Prepare and issue pricing for change order requests.Site Visits:
Visit job sites to build relationships with clients and vendors.Design Review:
Analyze design drawing revisions to identify and address scope changes to ensure alignment with project objectives.Construction Coordination:
Assist in coordinating construction drawings, modeling, and submittal reviews.Field Issue Resolution:
Work with onsite subcontractors to identify and resolve field issues.Fabrication Shop Experience:
