Requirements
Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years experience in a similar HR role3+ years of experience within a manufacturing facility with increasing levels of responsibilitySolid understanding of HR principles, procedures, and best practicesExcellent knowledge of employment laws and regulationsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skillsExperience working with a UnionHRCI certification is a plusResponsibilities
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviews and onboardingAdminister benefits programs, including enrollment, changes and terminationsAssist in the resolution of employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and recommending appropriate solutionsMaintain accurate and up to date employee records and HRExamine unemployment compensation claims, identify and forward discrepancies in claims; compiles data on claims and secures witnesses for unemployment compensation claims hearingsContinuous interaction with department contacts and making regular visits to ensure understanding of processes and give support for one-on-one training and questionsFacilitate human resource transactions, including promotions, demotions, transfers, terminations and maintenance of relevant documents and recordsCreate employee engagement plans, obtain necessary budget approval and initiating activitiesCoordinate in-house communication & community communication programsAssist with the development & administration of all aspects of the company's training and development program
