Human Resource Manager
at the Company's headquarters in
Oshkosh, WI.
This position will be responsible for handling the daily responsibilities of employee human resources, benefits administration, and compliance.This role will report directly to the COO.
The Manager of Human Resources will proactively engage with business stakeholders to deliver HR initiatives that support business objectives and drive growth for the business and its people.
The Manager of Human Resources will provide counsel to business leaders and managers on a variety of HR related topics, with an emphasis on driving strategic recruiting initiatives to attract the right talent for our organization.The Manager of Human Resources will also be responsible for resolving employee relations matters and carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: performance management, coaching, compensation, onboarding, policy implementation, and compliance.This position will be located at the ECM Holdings Group's headquarters in Oshkosh, Wisconsin
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer HR programs related to recruiting and onboarding, employee relations, HR policy management, compliance and HR reporting, benefits, employee development and performance management:
Recruiting and Onboarding:
Partner with EMCOR Building Services' Recruitment Leads to identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.Facilitate full-life cycle recruitment process from job posting to candidate onboarding.Employee Relations and HR Policy Management:
In Partnership with EMCOR Building Services' HR Lead, provide advice and counsel to managers to facilitate the resolution of employee relations matters.Support EBS HR Leaders in conducting workplace investigations.Advise operations leaders on HR Policy matters to support effective interpretation and implementation of Employee Handbook Policies.Drive adherence to Employee Handbook policies and respond to HR policy related issues or inquiries.Compliance and HR Reporting:
Partner with ECM Payroll administration on tracking and providing HR metrics, extracting information from a database and compiling reports for distribution.Assess compliance to human resources policies and procedures as well as applicable federal, state, and local legislation and regulations.Ensure timely submittal of federal, state and local reporting requirements including but not limited to: EEO-1 data collection, Veteran status reporting, Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements and affirmative action program (AAP) reporting.Benefits:
Support administration of benefits programs and serve as a liaison between employees and benefit administrators.Proactively educate employees on benefits plans and available resources and assist employees with claims questions.Administer appropriate leave of absence processes and procedures and ensure sensitive employee information is secured according to Federal and State requirements.Employee Development and Performance Management:
Actively build positive relationships with employees to promote a positive, safe, and effective work environment.Support management with employee performance management with goal of minimizing job expectation gap and achieving success for both the employee and the company.Manage Travel Coordination
Coordinate employee travel for employees as needed, from multiple divisions of ECM, to and from job sites.Using independent judgement to coordinate travel of multiple employees from various locations in the US to arrive at the same time to an airport to be able to share vehicle rentals to accommodationsCoordinate last minute adjustments to travel already booked to reroute employeesTracking travel credits earned from canceled flights and using them on future travelAct as a back-up travel coordinator for other divisions when neededPerforms other duties as assigned.Qualifications
:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.A minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources.Prior experience in construction, manufacturing or other related industry is preferred.Human Resources Certification (PHR or SPHR) is preferredKnowledge of federal and state employment and labor and benefit legislation and regulations.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Must be results-oriented and demonstrate strong attention to detail.Able to analyze data, synthesize and provide recommendations.Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Prior experience with HR Information Systems is preferred.
