Description
I) Job Purpose
To impact workforce development and clinical quality throughout the agency by providing expert level clinical supervision to Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) candidates, providing counseling for billable patients, providing clinical consultation to programs, and ensuring training, coaching and fidelity monitoring in evidence-based practices.
II) Essential Functions
A) Provide clinical supervision for master's level staff requiring supervision hours to obtain advanced licensure.
i) Provide 100 hours of clinical supervision for a minimum of 48 advanced licensure candidates at a time. This includes 4 hours of supervision a month for each candidate.
ii) Maintain supervisory designation with appropriate licensing board.
iii) Assist supervisees in completing paperwork required by the appropriate licensing board in securing and maintaining supervision.
iv) Develop and prepare meaningful content for group and individual supervision that will best prepare supervisees for their licensing exam.
v)Provide both individual and group supervision as required by state licensing boards.
vi) Maintain documentation required by appropriate licensing board and in accordance with MHMR policies and procedures. This includes maintaining thorough records of all sessions (individual and group), completing reports in a timely manner, and ensuring that all required paperwork is submitted.
B) Provide Individual and Group Counseling to billable clients/patients in CBT, CPT and/or other evidence-based interventions
i) Schedule a minimum of 10 sessions of individual or group counseling a week.
ii) Be trained in CBT, CPT and/or other billable evidence-based interventions.
iii) Maintain appropriate documentation for all sessions in accordance with the MHMR policies and procedures and HHSC Community Standards.
C) Provide consultation and coaching in evidence-based best practices.
i) Serve as the agency expert in one or more of the agency's evidence-based practices as determined by the Director of Clinical Transformation, the Clinical Leadership Team and division Chiefs.
ii) Assist in planning, coordination, training and coaching of staff.
iii) Ensure that fidelity measures in identified EBP interventions are met according to standards of the identified evidence-based practice.
D) Provide clinical consultation and support to programs as needed.
i) Facilitate program peer reviews and case consultations as needed within divisions.
ii) Assist in identifying gaps in skills, services and knowledge of direct care staff. Coordinate planning for filling identified gaps.
iii) Provide training and assist in coaching as needed.
E) Participate in the Agency Clinical Leadership Team.

III) Knowledge of Laws, Regulations, Policies/Procedures, Skills, and Abilities
A) Extensive knowledge of licensing board requirements and regulations, particularly as they pertain to the provision of clinical supervision.
B) Knowledge of Ethics Standards set forth by state licensing boards.
C) Extensive experience providing clinical counseling services with the same or similar populations served by MHMR.
D) Knowledge of and experience implementing cognitive, evidence-based interventions including CBT, CPT and other trauma interventions used to serve adults, children and youth.
E) Demonstrated skill in developing productive relationships with co-workers, patients, clients, family members, service providers and professional peers.
F) Extensive knowledge of case management, habilitation and rehabilitation principles, objectives, standards and methods.
G) Experience providing training and coaching in best practice interventions.
H) Extensive knowledge of the current DSM5 criteria and disorders.
I) Ability to work independently and organize work effectively and to prioritize workload demands.
J) Ability to conduct screenings, referrals, intakes, assessments, and unit orientations.
K) Excellent written and oral communication skills.
L) Internal & Ex Ability to complete proper documentation/paperwork required for client chart.
M) Ability to cope with and assist others in coping with frustration and being flexible in meeting organization's workload demands.

B) This position may require temporary or permanent re-assignment to any MHMR Tarrant facility as determined by program needs and/or the Division/Director.
C) Assigned work hours may change as the needs of the agency change.

E) All work will be completed within the scheduled work hours. All non-exempt (hourly) employees are expected to clock in and clock out for each work shift, no work should be done off the clock.
