About this internship: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Intern to join our team. As an Operations Intern, you will assist in various aspects of supply chain management, inventory control, and process optimization. Responsibilities May Include
Assist with managing the product, documentation and payment flow to customers, suppliers, and freight providers for the physical trades of the assigned business unit.Learn how to maintain accurate data in our ERP system as per company policy.Aid colleagues in ensuring the import and export customs processes of the products traded are managed efficiently.Look for ways to improve processes, maximize performance, and reduce costs.Coordinate with various departments internally to understand logistical and compliance-based requirements related to individual trades.Communicate with local and international team members.Help colleagues manage relationships with key suppliers, customers, and service providers to ensure an effective execution of physical bulk and containerized trade operations.Assist with special ad-hoc projects related to logistics and supply chain management.Contribute to the growth/development of the operations team and to the positive working environment.Experience & Qualifications
Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field required0-1 years' internship experience in energy or other commodity businesses preferredProduct knowledge in gas, oil, and/or petrochemical markets preferredProficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and WordExperience working in an ERP system preferredKnowledge of Incoterms, Import/Export Procedures & Documents preferredDynamic interpersonal skills with strong verbal, writing and presentation skillsCapacity to work under time-sensitive business and reporting deadlinesAbility to effectively work as part of a team
This position will not require international or domestic travel.
