Job Description:
The
Senior Accountant(Practice)
will report to the Director of Corporate Accounting or Senior Director, Practice Controller, and will be part of the Accounting team.
We will assign our Senior Accountants to the respective leader based on skillsets and career desires. Each Senior will lead a team of 1-5 accountants. Each of our Senior Accounting positions will partner closely with the clinical practices accounting team, strategic finance team, corporate FP&A team, treasury, and operations teams to dynamically develop proper accounting positions and evaluate transactions under US GAAP. In addition, these positions will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Company's monthly close process, ensuring proper accounting for all the Company's partner practices, performing and documenting technical accounting research, coordinating all external audits, ensuring proper revenue recognition across all practices, and supporting/analyzing corporate department budgets.
Each of the Senior Accountants will have significant exposure to and work daily with the Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Financial Officer, VP Finance, and Corporate FP&A will interact regularly with the Chief Operating Officer's organization and our practice leadership. The Company has experienced and will continue to experience high growth. Responsibilities
Work closely and proactively with the practice accounting team to ensure proper accounting, revenue recognition, and reporting at each of the Company's practices
Oversee and manage the month-end close process including coordination with FP&A, practice accounting, and clinical practice leaders
Work closely with corporate FP&A to produce Monthly Operating Reports for senior management, the Board, and practice leadership
Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with US GAAP
Preparing and reviewing ad-hoc internal and external financial reporting and analysis
Coordinate external audits, working closely with the independent accounting firm
Coordinate timely preparation and review of month-end balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation activities, and financial reporting
Develop, document, implement and maintain the Company's accounting policies and procedures
Research complex accounting issues and document technical accounting position papers
Identify areas of process improvement, recommend changes, and execute improvements
Additional responsibilities will be assigned to high performing individuals

Qualifications
Accounting degree (with graduate degree preferred, but not required)Seniors - 2-5+ years of public accounting experience with a Big 4 or large regional firmProven knowledge of GAAP, FASB, PCAOB, and SEC regulationsStrong knowledge of internal controls, best practices, and the ability to research and document accounting and financial topics requiredStrong excel skillsWorking knowledge of Workday or other ERP platforms is a plusActive CPA license or working toward CPA license requiredExperience or exposure to Healthcare is preferred but not required
