Position Summary

The Secondary Market Specialist will be responsible for managing the sale and delivery of mortgage loans to investors, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. This role involves analyzing market trends, optimizing loan pricing strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with investors and other stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrice and lock loans with investorsExecute Redisclosures and Change of Circumstance per regulatory guidelinesActively manage loan lock pipelineManage pricing engine and integration into EncompassMaintain investor product guidelines and matrix spreadsheetsReview and balance investor purchase advise with accounting and Operations ManagerMonitor SCMS position in the market through competitive pricing surveysManage and maintain investor policies on early payoffs, lock guidelines, recasting, as examplesQualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field is highly preferred.Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage banking required. Experience in Secondary marketing functions highly preferred.Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.In-depth knowledge of mortgage banking processes and regulations.Proficiency in mortgage software and MS Office Suite.Exceptional communication and people skills.

Work Context

Employees in this position work closely with underwriters to finish analyzing loan applications in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Also, underwriters frequently interact with and must maintain positive working relationships with other departments in mortgage such as loan officers, loan processors, and the closing department.
