S³ Inc. is seeking a Vice President of Defense Acquisition Business Sector to join our team at our corporate HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL.

This is not a teleworking position. The duty site is 615 Discovery Drive, Huntsville, Al 35806.

Description:

The Vice President of Defense Acquisition Business Sector reports to the President/CEO and is responsible for strategic level leadership, management, and strategic vision for operational controls, administrative and reporting requirements, P/L compliance, and operating efficiency. The VP is responsible for development and materialization of a business plan for 20% annual growth that supports Government contract and task order requirements to design, validate and execute technical services program activities. The business sector functional focus areas are Life Cycle Management; Systems Engineering; Requirements Generation; Modeling, Simulation and Experimentation; Knowledge Management: New Equipment Fielding and Training; and Live, Virtual, and Constructive Training.

Responsibilities:

* Responsibility for multiple IDIQ/BPA and Task Order prime contracts, outstanding CPARS, competitive burdens, and seasoned customer relationships.* Responsible for pipeline development, major capture actions, annual revenue growth and EBIDTA, contract execution, customer reviews, recruitment of key growth initiatives, budget projections and compliance, and employee leadership in corporate quality goals, ethics, and culture.* Participate at a board level position in 501(c) (3) organization for business development and marketing contacts.* Plan, organize, direct, report, and account for performance of a major business operating unit.* Plan, allocate, control, review, and resource personnel requirements for all programs in the business unit with 97% CDRL schedule compliance.* Review and approve business unit performance requirements within company policies and ISO requirements with no customer complaints.* Manage a team of 150-300 employees, and 12-20 sub-contractors, in support of customer requirements per contract specifications.* Generate and function as capture manager on RFP responses that win 100% of business re-competes and 25% of new business bids.* Proactively develop pipeline business for 20% annual growth, with diversification into new customer base opportunities; achieve at least 20% annual growth.* Grow customer base.* Maintain a revenue mix that is 60% prime, 40% subcontractor.* Identify and capture a new IDIQ/BPA annually.* Manage P/L to materialize target for the sector.* Recruit 2 triple threat performers annually with direct coverage within six months.* Function as a corporate citizen, adopting corporate missions, culture, and goals.

Qualifications:

* 10 years PM experience managing aviation or missile portfolios; five years of which is managing 150+ employees; three years corporate experience in a director, general manager, or vice president leadership position.* Experience managing at least 12-20 sub-contractors, in support of customer requirements per contract specifications.* Demonstrated strength with aviation or missile programs, CONUS/OCONUS and US/FMS experience is desired.* Must be flexible for travel to remote field site reviews; proposal support; corporate meetings and reviews; and business development.
