Real Estate Title Company seeks an experienced Title Manager for our Washington, D.C. branch, which provides settlement services for sale and refinance transactions in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Please have at least five Years' specific experience. You must be a good multi-tasker and have a customer experience orientation. Responsibilities: • Verify ownership, legal descriptions, and restrictions by analyzing liens, maps, public records, leases, plat books, agreements, surveys, and contracts • Review all closing documents to be sure title commitments have been met, issue title policy, and prepare closing statements to transfer the title to the new owner • Check for real estate title defects after conducting property search for title issues such as liens, claims, deeds, wills, mortgages, or fraud • Conduct closings in accordance with state regulations and company policies, addressing any questions or concerns from parties involved • Oversee the disbursement of funds and the recording of documents after closing • Maintain accurate records and documentation for each transaction, adhering to confidentiality standards • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to escrow and title services Qualifications: • 3-5 years of title closing experience, abstractor experience, title examiner or providing closing services is required • The ideal candidate will be process-driven, highly analytical and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
