Position Summary The Landmanwillprovide land expertise and coordination in order to timely meet the demands of an active drilling schedule and do what it takes to effectively manage company assets. This position is located in Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience. Essential Job Functions
Acquire, trade, and divest undeveloped leaseholds to consolidate holdings in areas of interestManage field Landmen in all aspects of title and lease acquisition effortsNegotiate, draft and interpret various types of land contracts includingJOA's, Exploration Agreements, Land Swaps, Assignments, and Confidentiality AgreementsWrite and negotiate contracts while managing contractual matters associated with the Chord assetsWork with legal counsel to clear title for drilling and division order purposesReview title opinions, ownership reports, and lease schedules to calculate company working interest and net revenue interest in drilling spacing unitsCollaborate cross-functionally on all activity related to Land and negotiationsRepresent Chord in state hearings and other government regulatory agencies including Bureau of Land Management (BLM)Lead internal land team communication between Land Tech, Lease Records, and Division Order AnalystsThis job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position.
