Kettering Health Miamisburg, formerly Sycamore Medical Center, is a full-service hospital located minutes west of the Dayton Mall on Miamisburg-Centerville Road off I-75 in Miamisburg, Ohio.

The cornerstone services for KH Miamisburg have been Bariatric surgeries and Orthopedic care.

Expanded services include emergency care, sleep center, mammography, breast MRI, cardiac catheterization lab, wound center and DEXA scanning.

JOB SUMMARY This network wide position is responsible for the hospital billing operations, financial, andhuman resource management. This network role has direct responsibility for leading and setting strategicgoals for hospital accounts receivable management for in support of the network wide strategic plans anddirection. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Meet accounts receivable and other departmental goals. Maximize KHN cash flow through top quartileperformance of accounts receivable- AR Days, Aged AR, Preventable adjustments2. Develop and maintain operational, monitoring and reporting systems to ensure accounts receivableactivities are meeting quality, productivity and reimbursement goals.3. Develop and maintain policies and procedures to support industry leading operations.4. Maintain an understanding of industry standards and practices related to billing and accounts receivablemanagement and implement such standards5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.6. Communicate hospital Accounts Receivable goals and performance throughout the network7. Benchmark billing/collections/cash /denial management functions with external entities to identifyopportunities for continuous improvement. Identify and propose industry leading strategies to achieve theseresults.8. Manage the department operations within budget.9. Participate in assessment of performance of third party payers to ensure compliance with contracts andoptimal operational performance. Work directly with payers to achieve optimal results. (3) Implementingand Coordinating Service - leadership integrates patient care and support services throughout theorganization (not just within departmental confines). (4) Improving Service - leadership establishesexpectations and plans, and manages processes to measure, assess, and improve the performance of theorganization through the people and resources they direct. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education• BA Preferred, or 8+ years’ experience in billing management.• Master’s degree desiredMembership in appropriate professional organizations is considered a necessary element of this positionParticipation in community organizations that enhance the effectiveness of Kettering Health Network isstrongly encourageMinimum Work Experience• 8+ years progressive experience in operations and management directly related to health care revenue cycle• 5+ years management experience including leadership of large groups of employees (25+)

Required Skills 1. Knowledge in areas of health care finance, government regulations, management theory, reimbursement,budgeting, health technologies and other areas as appropriate.2. Knowledge of best practices related to hospital accounts receivable management, billing and collectionoperations.3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.4.
