Completes the daily cleaning and supports all programs and events at the Wellness and Recreation Center (WRC). This will include all interior, exterior and support locations associated with the Campus Recreation.Supports the event production effort by performing the physical setup of tables, chairs, flooring, etc. Assists during major University Events and internal events. Completes breakdown and cleanup following events.Cleans indoor and outdoor restrooms and locker rooms using approved chemical cleaners and disinfectants. Tends to sinks, counters, mirrors, toilet and urinal fixtures, toilet partitions, walls, and floors.Cleans indoor and outdoor programming/workout spaces: Dusts and wipes down equipment, tables, chairs, cubbies, and other furnishings. Disposes of trash and replenishes plastic liners. Vacuum cleans carpets and mops hard floors.Cleans offices and common area corridors to include tables, chairs, water fountains, picture frames, and other furnishings. Spot cleans carpets and upholstery, as needed. Vacuum cleans carpeted areas and cleans hard floors. Disposes of trash and replenishes the plastic liners.Performs finished carpentry work, repairs, builds, and installs furniture, cabinets, etc. Secures tools, parts, and equipment.Replenishes supplies: toilet tissue, paper towels, toilet seat covers, hand soap, hand sanitizer, and fragrance dispensers. Disposes of trash and replenishes the receptacles plastic liners.Operates floor and carpet cleaning machines in accordance with operations manual and equipment care procedures.Provides basic building maintenance support to include light bulbs and lamp changes, replacing batteries of restroom fixtures and wall clocks, unclogging drains with plunger, etc. Performs routine care procedures for maintaining vacuum cleaners and cleaning equipment.Coordinates the laundering needs at the facility. Ensures routine cleaning and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies necessary. Including laundering mop heads, cleaning rags and towels, tablecloths, and table skirting, to include washing, drying, folding, and storing of laundered items.Is expected to be available to work, as needed, during University emergency closings, overtime and weekends.Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, storms, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.Minimum Qualifications
