Performs and provides a variety of custodial services and maintenance support to the Wolfe University Center.Works closely with the Events Custodial Supervisor in setting up and tearing down events that includes moving furniture. Assists in the basic maintenance of equipment (cleaning filters, changing light bulbs, etc.). Sets up tables, chairs, stages, and platforms in meeting areas according to events' needs. Anticipates customer needs and responds to customer requests.Vacuums, cleans, sweeps, mops, waxes, scrubs, burnishes and polishes floors, fixtures and surfaces. Operates equipment including floor care equipment, and specialized cleaning equipment. Performs heavy project cleaning using above mentioned cleaning methods and equipment, such as but not limited to floor stripping and waxing, polishing, sports flooring maintenance, heavy restrooms cleaning, carpet shampooing and extraction, spot removal, and pressure cleaning. Cleans items and/or areas as deemed necessary and as instructed by supervisor.Cleans and sanitizes restrooms including vanity/sink, mirrors, and walls of the event facilities. Restocks restroom supplies as needed. Cleans classrooms, offices, and common areas adjacent to the building. Picks up trash and refuse in rooms, hallways, restrooms, stairwells, elevators, classrooms, etc. Transports waste and recycle bins to central area or main disposal receptacle.Participates in weekend rotation and may be required to cover important University events beyond regular hours and regular schedule.Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.Minimum Qualifications
