Summary You will serve as a Management and Program Analyst in the Records Management Branch, Code 1142 of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will assist in the development of recommendations designed to improve operational/administrative procedures for overall management improvement of assigned programs/projects. You will work on the following assigned programs: Records Management, Directives, Forms and Correspondence, Command Library or Official Mail. You will compile information into a report and present to higher-level employees for use in analysis and fact-finding. You will conduct interviews with command personnel regarding various command programs to gather information needed on procedures, processes, workflow, problems encountered, etc. You will assist command departments with developing and maintaining file plans, cabinets, binders and folders as required by the command records management program, ensuring proper labeling, no duplication, and proper disposition. You will assist in setting command policies and execution of programs of significant scope and mission impact. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-9: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting studies of departmental work processes to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems and advise management on ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations or program effectiveness. GS-7: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: gathering and analyzing data from various sources (references, directives, correspondence, instructions, subject matter experts) to assist in conducting studies on the use of resources, records management, or the effectiveness of programs. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Education may substitute for specialized experience as follows: GS-07: Successful completion of one full year of graduate education, OR; Successful completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, OR; A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. GS-9: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR; Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree. OR; Obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled. OR; A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
