As an exempt-level position, additional hours will be required in order to meet job and departmental needs, including evenings and weekends as required for donor events and travel.Job SummaryUK Office of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement and the Partnerships, Events, & Program Team is seeking an Associate Director - Events to support UK HealthCare units and the Health Colleges. The Associate Director will report to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, Partnerships, Events & Programs. With a primary focus on internal and third-party philanthropic events the Associate Director - Events will engage a variety of community partners to progressively increase giving. The incumbent will be responsible for the development and growth of internal and third-party fundraising events and other cause-related fundraising activations.The successful candidate for this role will have a track record of success in philanthropy, particularly in the realm of event fundraising, and/or cause marketing campaigns. The incumbent will also have exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to engage and inspire both corporate and community leaders to influence increased giving.
