Certification Details Required certifications: BLS Charge RN's have ACLS Chemo cert NOT required. Job Details Level 1 trauma center in Mississippi needs RN's for the Hematology/Oncology unit. Chemo cert is NOT required. Must have solid experience as an RN - at least 1 yr on first job. 1 or more yrs of Level 1 or VERY Large hospital experience required. Travel experience with extension is preferred. EPIC CHARTING experience is required. Job Requirements Must have solid experience as an RN - at least 1 yr on first job. EPIC CHARTING experience is required. Level 1 trauma experience required. Experience at a larger facility with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients. Must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes, hem/onc. Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours, 7a-7p or 7p-7a. Managers will try to accommodate block scheduling as schedule allows. Open to weekenders if traveler would like to work every weekend but that is not required. Weekend Requirement: every other or 2 weekends per month is standard. Holiday Requirement: rotate in with regular staff. Unit Specific Information Beds: 32 Nurse:Patient Ratios: typical ratio for all medsurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times, ratio would be adjusted down for higher acuity patients Common diagnoses/Types of patients: hem/onc, chemo Experience or 'Must have' skills: level 1 trauma experience required, experience at a larger facility with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients. Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Both. Charge nurse takes light patient assignment, will take full load of patients if needed.
