This position is responsible for performing various accounting functions for the General Ledger section. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements, monthly reports, and analyses.
Duties:
Prepares accrual entries and maintains subsidiary ledgers and schedules to track balances. Assist in the annual budget process. Conduct account analyses for various asset and liability accounts. Contacts appropriate sources as necessary to resolve discrepancies, items held in suspense, delinquencies, inadequate documentation, and other related issues. Assist in the tracking of fixed assets. Prepares various electronic schedules for the external auditors. Clarifies information and answers questions raised during the audit. Assist in the completion of monthly bank reconciliations for multiple companies. Manages inquiries from various stakeholders and escalates to management as necessary. Keeps management informed of all unresolved issues. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements:
Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Accounting or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is desirable or any equivalent combination of related experience which provides the following necessary knowledge, skills and abilities: Skills Requirements:
Proficiency in all areas of an accounting department and in the maintenance of a complete set of financial records on an automated accounting system. Demonstrated ability to manage, plan and complete multiple projects. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Proficiency in the use of a variety of software tools for financial analysis and reporting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Travel & Work hours
