Florida Association of Court Clerks and Comptrollers/CiviTek Solutions, located in Tallahassee, Florida, is actively recruiting for a Director of Project Management.
The Director of Project Management provides Program Management support for CiviTek Technical Programs. Participates in strategic planning of projects and programs to ensure they meet the organization's goals. This position also provides management and oversight of the CiviTek IT Project team staff and operations. Position will manage project team members and coordinate project tasks with the other IT Managers on various IT projects. Position will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes assigning resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver IT projects according to plan.
Salary up to $100,000/annually.
Relocation assistance and sponsorship are not available. Hybrid work environment, office located in Tallahassee, FL.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide Program Management support for CiviTek Technical Projects.
Manage the day-to-day activities of CiviTek IT Project staff, including assigning and monitoring project tasks, providing technical support and guidance, and coordinating concurrent activities as well as supervisory duties.
Manage the process and interaction of technical projects with other CiviTek Technical Teams and the FCCC Service Desk.
Provide oversight of the CiviTek IT applications including CCIS, eCommerce, Jury, eClerc and the Clericus Product Suite managing the product and associated project pipeline, including enhancement requests, new applications and ongoing product release management.
Act as an escalation point on application issues.
Participate and contribute to the preparation of business cases for potential new product and technological services and solution offerings.
Participate and contribute in legal contract negotiations and preparations with new partners, vendors and clients.
Participate in policy and strategic IT planning with CiviTek and FCCC upper management and Clerk leadership.
Act as a mentor and coach for Project Managers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Working experience or expertise in county clerk operations and application software.
Possess software application design and troubleshooting expertise or training.
Project Management experience.
Experience managing multiple projects and/or programs.
Experience in contract preparation, negotiations, and the review process.
Possess a strong work ethic and ability to interact well with others.
Possess good leadership and listening skills.
Possess strong analytical, logic and detailing skills.
Create work plans and manage change.
Budget preparation experience.
Experience in managing highly technical workers.
Understand Clerk’s roles and responsibilities.
Possess good written and oral communication skills.
Possess configuration management expertise or training.
Have familiarity in state agency operations.
Work under stress with limited guidance or direction.
Education and Experience Required:
PMP Certification is required. Bachelor’s degree in Management, Computer Science or the equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 15 years of progressive related experience in project management. Previous management experience required. Experience in managing multiple projects/programs is required.
