Senior Business Infrastructure AnalystWhat does a successful Senior Business Infrastructure Analyst do at Fiserv?
As a successful Senior Business Infrastructure Analyst, you will be the primary liaison between the Fiserv Education business unit and the Fiserv Technology Services (FTS) organization. You will consult with application development teams and collaborate with FTS engineers and architects regarding infrastructure solutions.What You Will Do
You will be responsible for technical asset management within the business organization.Primary business unit point of contact with the FTS organization.Support application engineering solutions by consulting with FTS on infrastructure solutions planning, design, and delivery.Work with FTS engineers and architects, advise business unit engineering teams of IT technology standard requirements, methodology and processes.Work with FTS to coordinate and deploy technology refreshes.Manage the asset inventory for Fiserv education including but not limited to servers, databases, storage, network devices, APIs, and software. This includes ensuring all items are properly reflected in the configuration management database (CMDB) (ownership, configurations, metadata, etc.) and that new items are successfully added and deprecated items are successfully removed from tracking. In addition, you will troubleshoot issues with asset records including orphan research, ownership issues, metadata issues, etc.Develop a repeatable (automated), high quality, process for extracting lists of client-specific assets.Develop strategy for monitoring software versioning to always ensure N-1 deployment.Assist in planning to remediate N-1 software issues.What You Will Need To Have
Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent job experience.5+ years of experience working with technical infrastructure (servers, database, storage, and network devices) in a medium to large IT organization.Experience working with N-tiered applications and infrastructure.Infrastructure understanding related to data center infrastructure hardware and software systems including network, security, storage, and compute for traditional data center hosted applications virtual and private cloud solutions.Must have a working knowledge of:Windows and Linux server concepts.Virtual machines and other virtual software.Domains.Active Directory services and its concepts.SAN/NAS storage systems.Networking and database management.Backup technologies.Interaction between hardware, operating systems, network (including load balancing), data center, application software, databases (MS SQL Server), and storage.Understanding of TCP/IP and other network protocols.Familiarity with DNS, DHCP and other network services.What Would Be Great To Have
Working knowledge of mainframe infrastructure including DB2 databases.Working knowledge of Oracle databases.CMDB experience.Technical asset management experience.Direct support experience of servers, databases, storage, and network devices.Experience with Waterfall and Agile Development methodologies.Perks At Work
