Houston, TexasPosition Summary:Kuraray America has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Manager in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will lead and provide direction to the organization that provides for all procurement requirements and support for Kuraray America. The role will collaborate with other Kuraray Procurement/Purchasing Organizations on leveraged spend and global initiatives.Responsibilities :Align Procurement Strategies with the goals of internal customers.Create and maintain organizational structure to support KAI's procurement requirements.Establish and implement procurement strategies to improve Kuraray financial results and ensure sustainability.Provide consultation and guidance in support of business initiatives and capital programs.Collaborate with global procurement/purchasing organizations on materials that cross regional boundaries.Provide environment for training and development of procurement personnel.Directly lead procurement of very large spend.Ensure organizational compliance of Procurement/Purchasing Policies and Procedures (Purchasing Manual) and the application of Quality Management Standards (ISO, Responsible Care, IATF, GMP) for all procurement activities.Oversee maintenance and required enhancements to the procurement module of KAI's ERP System (GSAP) to ensure functionality and financial control.Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business and/or Logistics or related supply chain fieldAt least ten (10) years of procurement/supply chain experience in the petrochemical and related industries.Five (5) years of managerial experience leading, influencing, and developing direct reports.Ability to clearly understand and respond to the needs of internal customersAbility to develop a clear business direction and lead the organization in fulfillment of that vision.Excellent negotiating and analytical skillsMust have a valid drivers licenseApplicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.Who we are:Voted one of the Nation's Best and Brightest Companies to Work for, Kuraray America, Inc.
