Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
This position involves assembling routine electrical and mechanical equipment using common hand and power tools. The role requires building equipment from assembly procedures, blueprints, engineering sketches, and verbal instructions, working under direct supervision.
Responsibilities
Assemble routine electrical and mechanical equipment using common hand and power tools.
Build equipment from assembly procedures, blueprints, engineering sketches, and verbal instructions.
Perform routine and repetitive assembly tasks on electrical and mechanical equipment from provided instructions.
Recognize defective or damaged parts and incorrect sizes.
Comply with acceptable quality standards using appropriate hand and power tools.
Adhere to company health and safety standards.
Perform other duties as required or assigned under direct supervision.
Essential Skills
High school diploma (or GED).
Good communication skills.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Ability to read blueprints.
Ability to lift various items from floor to bench height in the course of assembly activities (50 pounds).
Ability to differentiate colors (i.e., working components).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with mechanical assembly.
Familiarity with sub-assemblies.
Proficiency in using mechanical tools.

Work Environment
Manufacturing/Production Facility. Hours are 6:30am/7am to 3pm/3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Dress code includes steel-toe shoes, jeans, and shorts. The facility is climate-controlled.
