A law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Mid-Level Consumer Financial Regulatory Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience working on regulatory matters, particularly consumer financial regulations, including state and federal laws on payments and credit products, as well as unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices laws.Job Duties
Provide legal counsel and support on regulatory compliance concerning consumer financial products.Advise clients on state and federal consumer financial regulations.Assist with regulatory examinations, audits, and investigations.Draft, review, and negotiate documents related to consumer financial services.Monitor and analyze regulatory changes and industry trends.Collaborate with clients on strategies to navigate regulatory requirements and mitigate risks.Engage with regulatory agencies and represent clients in regulatory matters.Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on consumer financial regulatory issues.Support clients in the FinTech, mortgage lending/servicing, cryptocurrency, and digital assets sectors.Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience in regulatory matters related to consumer financial services.Strong understanding of consumer financial regulations at both state and federal levels.Knowledge of unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices laws.Outstanding oral and written communication skills.Commitment to providing exceptional client service.Must be a member of the Washington State Bar in good standing.Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications
Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association.Skills
Excellent legal research and analytical skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in managing multiple projects and deadlines.Experience with emerging platforms/FinTech, mortgage lenders/servicers, cryptocurrency, and other digital assets is a plus.Benefits Offered
