The Material Handler II is responsible for loading, unloading and moving materials within the warehouse, storage facility or worksite.By working under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity, the right candidate will work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals.Job Responsibilities
Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be loaded, unloaded and/or move materials within the warehouse, storage facility or worksiteMaintain system critical data elementsMay monitor manufacturing order kitting schedule and update kitting tracker as necessary, ensuring kits are pulled according to schedule and delivered to production on timeEnsure movement of product from production through packaging to shippingPerform materials analysis and maintains records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurementOpen containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand toolsLoad and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by handConvey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truckCount, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP systemAttach tags or label to materials or otherwise markinformationSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationOur Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience with CostPoint MRPExperience with Karex VLM machines and power pick softwareExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsProficiencywith MS OfficeBasic computer and data entry knowledgeQualifications
2+ years warehouse experienceHigh school diploma or GEDThe pay scale for this position is $18/hr - $25/hr. The pay scale information is a general guideline only. Several factors can influence the pay scale for a position including but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic locations, business considerations, scope and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity.
