This role will report to the Head of Wholesale Strategic Execution & Business Management with responsibility for developing and delivering a complement of activities to support the Wholesale teammate experience. The scope of work is broadly defined to include enabling activities such as, but not limited to, teammate functional communications, on-the-job learning and readiness, end-to-end sales enablement (sales strategy, tools, and content), and teammate recognition. In addition, this role will manage teams that drive recruitment and training of early talent and well as the Truist Momentum platform and associated sales team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. • Developing and implementing a sales approach and framework that appropriately balances LOB nuances with core and common delivery across Wholesale.
• Identifying and implementing best practices, inclusive of processes, tools, and technology, to maximize sales effectiveness.
• Standing up a "run-the-business" communications function that supports LOB- and Wholesale-wide communications (both internal and client/external) that leverage core and common delivery and content as applicable. This team will complement executive messaging delivered through Corporate Communications with a focus on teammate readiness and functional communications.
• Partnering with LOB leaders and Learning Solutions to identify learning needs and develop and deliver relevant training content across multiple functional groups (e.g., sales, credit, client service and support).
• Developing and executing against a roadmap to ensure Wholesale is leveraging the best tools, platforms, and content to drive origination activities and maximize banker/advisor productivity. May own/manage tools/platforms directly and/or in partnership with Technology, Marketing, etc.
• Partnering with Data & Analytics to develop a streamlined reporting package that delivers value-added insights into sales performance and effectiveness across Wholesale. This may include developing a working knowledge of incentives and metrics to ensure alignment with the sales strategies and behaviors the business is looking to promote.
• Developing and managing a client engagement approach that ensures Truist’s resources are appropriately directed to the best revenue- and relationship-building opportunities.
• Ensuring Truist is appropriately represented at conferences and industry events and bankers are prepared with insightful content.
• Managing sales approach and platform effectiveness for Truist Momentum, , ensuring the product continues to be distinguished as a competitive advantage and extension of Truist’s purpose.
• Developing and managing a holistic and strategic approach to early talent recruitment and training across Wholesale and Wealth.
• Developing, guiding, and mentoring less-tenured teammates; ensuring each LOB leader has sufficient and value-added teammate enablement support.
• Serving as a trusted advisor and extension of Wholesale leadership by providing vision, direction, and expertise to identify, prioritize, and execute initiatives and key deliverables.
Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years overall experience and background in business enablement, strategic planning, or sales
• Prior experience and/or understanding of Wholesale Banking fundamentals, including product and service capabilities, organizational structure and alignment, and internal process/systems/data
• Deep knowledge of financial drivers and sales practices across lines of business including commercial banking, commercial real estate, corporate & investment banking, and wealth management
• Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships and execute growth initiatives across lines of business including commercial banking, commercial real estate, corporate & investment banking, and wealth management
• Strong critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus
• Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to resolve conflicts and gain commitment to accomplish business goals
• Demonstrated experience fostering strong partnership, promoting teamwork, and building an inclusive culture
• Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
• Sense of urgency and ability to multi-task and manage competing projects in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Passion for results and personal accountability for achievement
• Ability to translate and present complex data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influences decisions
• Advanced skills in data visualization and storytelling
• Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment
