A law firm seeks a skilled Patent Agent with a technical background to join its patent prosecution practice in Manchester, NH. This position provides an opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners on innovative technology, including semiconductor processes and hardware/software design, within a client-focused and collaborative environment. Remote work arrangements are available for qualified candidates.DutiesPrepare and prosecute patent applications, ensuring compliance with USPTO standards.Conduct comprehensive technical and legal research to support patent application processes.Review and analyze patent documents related to complex technologies, including semiconductor and hardware/software systems.Collaborate with a team of attorneys and technical staff to provide thorough, client-oriented patent services.Participate in strategic discussions and assist clients in protecting intellectual property across various technological fields.RequirementsMinimum of three years of experience in patent prosecution.Strong technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field.Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail.Pre-law engineering work experience preferred.Experience in semiconductor processes and hardware/software design is highly valued.EducationBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.CertificationsRegistration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).SkillsStrong analytical and research skills in both technical and legal aspects of patent prosecution.Proficiency in managing complex technical documentation with a high level of accuracy.Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.Detail-oriented, with a focus on clear and concise communication in patent-related documents.
