A law firm seeks a Patent Prosecution Attorney to join its Manchester, NH office. This position involves working on complex patent prosecution cases within a supportive, client-focused team environment. Candidates with a background in electrical engineering, computer science, or physics, as well as experience in patent prosecution, will find this role engaging and fulfilling.DutiesPrepare and prosecute patent applications, ensuring adherence to USPTO standards and regulations.Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to support patent prosecution and compliance.Review and manage case files related to semiconductor processes, hardware, and software design.Collaborate with clients and colleagues to deliver client-focused solutions in patent law.Participate in strategic planning and execution for intellectual property matters.Support a collegial work environment with a focus on innovation and teamwork.RequirementsMinimum of three years of experience in patent prosecution.Strong writing skills and meticulous attention to detail.Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).State Bar membership (required for attorneys).EducationBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (required for attorneys).CertificationsUSPTO registration (required).SkillsProficiency in patent prosecution processes and case management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex technical matters.Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team.Strong organizational abilities with a focus on detail and accuracy.
