Non-Equity Partner - Litigation

A law firm seeks an experienced Non-Equity Partner to join its Litigation team. This role involves providing expert legal counsel to existing clients, mentoring associate attorneys, and actively engaging in trial preparation and courtroom representation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, with an emphasis on business and insurance defense.DutiesProvide legal counsel to clients, strategizing and representing them in litigation cases.Conduct thorough legal research and draft necessary legal documents, including pleadings and motions.Prepare and respond to discovery, including reviewing and managing large volumes of case documents.Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and conduct motion practice.Serve as a mentor and advisor to associate attorneys, overseeing their development and providing guidance.Lead cases through trial, demonstrating proficiency in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on business and insurance defense.Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction and courtroom presentation.Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other team members.Proven track record of meeting billing goals.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.CertificationsActive membership in the Georgia Bar.SkillsProficiency in legal research, document drafting, and litigation procedures.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently.Mentorship abilities to guide and support associate attorneys.Strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
