A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior Litigation Associate to join its team in Dallas, TX. This position is ideal for an attorney with extensive litigation experience, particularly in defending personal injury cases, and a strong knowledge of Texas law and legal procedures. The ideal candidate will be capable of preparing cases for trial, second-chairing trials, and independently handling cases in the courtroom. Prepare cases for trial, including formulating strategies, conducting discovery, reviewing records, and preparing clients and witnesses.Conduct legal and factual research to support case preparation.Draft legal documents such as briefs, memos, and client updates.Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.Manage a caseload of litigated claims from inception through resolution.Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases to develop strong defense strategies.Requirements:
At least 5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on personal injury defense.Strong knowledge of Texas law and legal procedures.Proven ability to manage case preparation, including discovery, depositions, and courtroom experience.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking the initiative to address challenges.Client-focused mentality, with a commitment to providing excellent legal services.Education:
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Active Texas Bar License required.Skills:
Exceptional research and writing abilities.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities effectively.Intellectual curiosity with a focus on staying up-to-date with litigation trends and recent legal developments.Location:
