Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a licensed attorney with experience in general liability, trucking accidents, cargo loss, auto accidents, and premises liability. The ideal candidate should have 3-6 years of civil litigation experience, including first or second chair trial experience. This role offers the opportunity to manage cases from inception to resolution, work closely with clients, and attend court regularly.Duties:Review and analyze medical records for litigation cases.Draft and prepare reports, including initial, interim, pre-trial, and appellate reports.Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery-related motions.Represent clients in court, attending hearings, trials, and depositions.Take and defend depositions of both fact witnesses and expert witnesses.Draft motions, including motions for summary judgment.Participate in trials as first or second chair.Requirements:Licensed to practice law in Georgia.3-6 years of civil litigation experience, including trial experience.Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex legal issues.Excellent legal research, writing, and communication abilities.Ability to manage cases independently from start to finish.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership with the Georgia State Bar.Skills:Proficient in legal research and drafting comprehensive legal documents.Experience with medical records analysis and discovery processes.Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills.Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
