Job Overview:

A law firm seeks a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney to join their Trusts and Estates practice in Rockville, MD. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for professional development and mentorship, working closely with senior attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a background in estate planning, estate administration, and business transactions. This position involves handling a variety of legal matters for clients, including estate planning, trust administration, and real estate and business transactions.Duties:Assist clients with comprehensive estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.Manage estate and trust administration processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and client objectives.Provide counsel on real estate and business transactions, including LLC, corporate, and partnership formation.Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop estate tax minimization strategies for clients.Prepare necessary legal documentation and filings for estate and business matters.Communicate effectively with clients to meet their legal needs and maintain strong client relationships.Stay up to date with changes in estate and business law to provide accurate legal advice.Requirements:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and/or estate administration.Strong legal research, drafting, and writing skills.Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while providing exceptional client service.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.A proactive approach to learning and professional development.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in Maryland (required).Bar admissions in Washington, D.C., and Virginia (preferred).LLM in Taxation or Estate Planning (preferred but not required).Skills:Expertise in estate planning and administration, including drafting legal documents.Proficiency in business transactions, including entity formation.Ability to provide legal advice on complex issues while maintaining strong client relationships.Familiarity with real estate and business structures.Location:This position is perfect for an attorney looking to grow their career in estate planning and administration while working in a supportive and dynamic legal environment.
