POSITION SUMMARYThe Testing Specialist supports the Testing Center Supervisor in the management of all functions at the college's testing centers; CentreTech, Lowry, and Buckley Space Force Base. The testing centers offer many testing services including placement testing (including English and Math Questionnaires), CLEP, DSST, Pearson VUE, Meazure Learning, National Testing Network (NTN), National Center for Competency Tests (NCCT), HiSET, Prior Leaming Assessment (PLA) Exams, Kryterian, Spanish Placement Test, class tests at select locations, and outside/3rd party proctoring. The Testing Specialist will perform and oversee the main functions in the Testing Centers, which includes: test administration, office management, supervision of work-study and part-time staff, and maintaining community partnerships. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, time management, customer service experience, and an attention to detail. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Testing FunctionsAdminister all tests offered by the Testing Center. This includes, but is not limited to: CLEP, DSST, Pearson VUE, Meazure Learning, National Testing Network (NTN), National Center for Competency Tests (NCCT), HiSET, Prior Leaming Assessment (PLA) Exams, Kryterian, Spanish Placement Test, class tests (at select locations), and outside/3rd party proctoring.Must acquire testing administrator and proctor eligibility within first month of employment and must remain eligible for current and future tests throughout employment at CCA.Evaluate and process English and Math Questionnaires to determine students' English and Math placements.Troubleshoot technical issues related to computer-based testing and work with IT support teams to resolve issues as they arise.Occasionally proctor at Buckley Space Force Base for CLEP and DSST exams.Assists with data analysis of measuring outcomes related to the English and Math placement forms.Assist the Testing Center Supervisor with scheduling and/or presenting test related information to internal and external partnersOffice Management
Maintain Testing Center schedule and ensure coverage, special testing sessions, and increase coverage for peak periods.Assist in updating the department's published information to provide effective communication to students, faculty, staff, and community members, regarding services. This includes the CCA Testing Center webpage, placement study guides, department email, voicemail, and business cards.Monitor and track office supply usage and order supplies when needed, research/maintain testing software ( e.g. LanSchool), create/maintain physical file structure and the shared CCA Testing driveAccountability and Integrity
Train staff and ensure they remain vigilant and pay close attention to cheating or preventing cheating.Ensure a quiet atmosphere appropriate for testing is maintained in all locations of the Testing Center, including remote/virtual testing environments.Document and present any cases of cheating or test-taker dishonesty according to Testing Center policies and the CCA Student Code of Conduct.Verify test scores upload into Banner, by end of day, and ensure any discrepancies are correctedSupervision & Training
Train and supervise work-study and part-time staff to ensure policies and procedures are upheld during test administrations.Coach and provide feedback to work-study and part-time staff on a regular basis. Inform the Testing Center Supervisor of any performance issues or regarding exceptional performance.Model best practices for inclusion, equity, and diversityREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate' s degree or professional/technical experience ( or other related experience) may substitute for the degree on a year basis, but does not count towards the required years of experience.Minimum of one-two years of experience in a customer facing role.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and abilities.Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with little supervision.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Salary Range:
Anticipated starting salary range: $50,968.00 annually. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. CCA offers an excellent , including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits. Full time employees immediately upon hire earn 15 hours a month annual leave and 10 hours a month sick leave.
