Technical Support Specialist
to join our team and provide on-site technical support for the end-user community. This is a
Temp-to-Perm
role where the successful candidate will be responsible for hardware and software installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and PC refresh support.Field Service Technician IIIJacksonville, FloridaPR: $29.11Key Responsibilities :Provide on-site technical support for the end-user community.Perform software and hardware installations, hardware moves, and add/change requests for hardware/software.Provide maintenance support for desktop systems, printers, and other IT equipment.Support PC refreshes, including imaging, software installation, and deployment to users.Offer technical support for users, resolving issues related to installation, usage, and training on software and hardware products.Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures.Ensure exceptional customer service and technical knowledge in resolving issues.Skills Required :Proficient with MS Operating Systems: Windows 11, Windows 10, and Windows 7.Strong troubleshooting skills for applications running on MS Windows-based platforms (e.g., Office, browsers, printers).Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software.Solid understanding of networks and basic network troubleshooting.Knowledge in asset management and tracking systems.Ability to follow established procedures and protocols.Excellent communication skills (oral and written).Exceptional customer service orientation.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Experience Required :Basic understanding of networking concepts.Hands-on experience with desktop/laptop hardware repair.Experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and user management.Experience with asset management processes.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.Strong customer service experience and a proactive problem-solving attitude.Experience Preferred :Knowledge of ServiceNow for handling requests, incidents, and asset management is a plus.Education Required :GED

High School Diploma .Education Preferred :6+ years of experience with a high school diploma, or3+ years of experience with an Associate's Degree, or0+ years of experience with a Bachelors Degree (BS).Associates Degree
in a related field preferred.Additional Information :Temp-to-Perm
role: transition to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.Work Environment :Indoor office and shipyard environment.Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive hand movements (typing, mouse use).Some light lifting and carrying of typical computer components.Safety shoes and glasses required for work in shipyard areas.Offsite work at Mayport Naval Base may be required.
