$190,000 USD - $230,000 USD

Specific compensation will be based on candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. At Russell Investments, salary is just one part of our compensation package. Job Description:

Russell Investments is seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Head of Content and Brand to lead the development of the company's brand identity and content initiatives, ensuring that they effectively communicate our vision, values, solutions and product offerings. This leader will work across the global marketing and communications team, as well as with sales, investment and product teams to deliver impactful content that drives brand awareness, engagement, commercial growth and retention. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with creativity and possess strong leadership skills to drive the brand's evolution in a dynamic marketplace. This role is critical in shaping and communicating our brand's story, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels, and driving engagement with our target audiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content strategy and creation, brand strategy and creative management, and a deep understanding of the asset management industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Brand Strategy & Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the firm's overall business and commercial growth objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, digital experience, communications, investments, sales and product, to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
    • Identify and manage partnerships that enhance brand presence and expand the company's reach through co-branded content and collaborations.
  • Content Creation & Management: Oversee content strategy and production, from ideation to execution, ensuring high-quality, relevant, and engaging content tailored to different target audiences across the buyer journey.
    • Strategy should align with the firm's brand strategy and overall business and commercial growth objectives.
    • Work across the spectrum of content needs, including, brand, promotional, thought leadership, channel and product.
  • Omnichannel Storytelling: Develop consistent brand stories that resonate across different platforms, including, but not limited to, digital marketing campaigns, product launches, and PR initiatives.
  • Market and Audience Insights: Use market research and audience insights to inform the brand's positioning and content strategies, ensuring they align with client insights, needs and behaviors.
    • Analyze brand and content performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize engagement and reach.
    • Optimize content to maximize SEO opportunities
    • Remain current with industry trends, client insights and best practices in content marketing and brand management.
  • Team and Stakeholders:
    • Manage a team of content creators, editors, and brand specialists and designers, providing strategic direction and guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, such as agencies and freelancers, to enhance content and brand initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all content and branding efforts.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Series 7 and/or 24 a plus.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in brand and content strategy, content creation, brand management, or a related role, preferably within the asset management or financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling a brand, with a deep understanding of brand positioning, voice, and identity.
  • Expertise in creating and managing content strategies across digital, social media, and traditional platforms, with an eye for creative and engaging storytelling.
  • Ability to inspire and lead creative teams, with a deep understanding of design, copywriting, and visual storytelling.
  • Exhibits a strong sense of intellectual curiosity. Demonstrate ability to interpret data and analytics to measure content performance and inform strategic decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and strategies to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product, sales, marketing, and executive teams to align brand initiatives with company objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep proficiency across digital, advertising, paid and owned media channels; content management systems (CMS) and digital marketing tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
