Responsibilities

Summary

Under the guidance of the Quality Manager, provides support to the Quality review and analysis. Responsible for ensuring compliance to customer and Company quality system specifications and requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This is a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and is not all inclusive. Incumbent(s) may and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.Serves as the site DPRV representative to perform over inspection per customer requirements.Must be willing to obtain AS13001 certification and customer approvals to serve as a Product Release Agent.Enters data into customer logs and web portals documenting mandatory requirements.Performs visual part inspection and verifies part markings prior to shipment.Verifies quantity, lot number and serial number against the shipping documents.Stamp off parts and paperwork as required by customer.Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.Record over inspection or test data and quantities inspected.Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.Must be able to learn and follow company procedures and work instructions.Maintains a safe and organized workstation; follows all company policies and procedures.Performs all other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and Basic Qualifications

Highschool diploma or equivalent GED.Minimum of one year working in a manufacturing environment.One year inspection experience using various inspection devices such as gauges (calipers micrometers, etc.) desired.Preferred Qualifications

Basic computer knowledge. Proficiency with QPulse and Microsoft Office.More than two years working in a manufacturing environment.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Pay

$25 - $32/ hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
