Responsibilities
SUMMARY
Under direction of the controller, ensures that all required financial statements and reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner according to corporate policies, generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable regulations and laws. Supports the controller in delivering on monthly performance targets, maintaining a structured compliance environment, and successful execution of business initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.Own the monthly general ledger closing and reconciliation processSupport development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis for the locationLead the completion of monthly financial control procedures to ensure the location meets Howmet audit/ASAT/SOX requirementsProvide accurate and timely reporting/forecasting/planning for the locationIdentify opportunities for cost reduction and sharing of best practicesProvide support on an as needed basis for financial and control audits for both internal and external auditorsSupport development of tools/reports to facilitate financial, commercial, and operational improvementsLead development of tools/reports to facilitate operations to meet the financial planEnsure strict adherence to code of conduct and corporate policyCreate an environment where systems are used to accurately plan, forecast, and deliver according to expectationsQualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institutionFormal training and in-depth experience in cost accounting, financial accounting, local, state, and federal tax regulations, and financial analysis & reportingMinimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Strong analytical and evaluative skillsDeveloped written and oral communication skillsStrong analytical and evaluative skillsHighly developed written and oral communications skillsAbility to effectively manage and direct subordinatesStrong leadership skills required: the incumbent needs to be comfortable analyzing problems, making decisions and influencing peopleStrong decision-making skills: incumbent needs to analyze and synthesize data, and be able to make decisions without having complete informationFamiliarity with SOX compliance requirementsSound judgment and appropriate level of risk for the situation at handExpert user of Microsoft Office productsExperience with Epicor, Oracle, and Hyperion a plus

PAY
$120,000 - $145,000/ year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
