Draft and review franchise agreements, disclosure documents, and other regulatory filings to ensure compliance.Advise clients on regulatory and transactional franchise matters, including business expansions, restructurings, and franchise-related M&A transactions.Provide counsel to both U.S.-based and international clients on franchise-related issues.Collaborate with clients ranging from start-up franchisors to large, established brands, as well as private equity firms involved in franchise operations.Participate in strategic planning and offer insights on compliance with U.S. and international franchise regulations.Requirements
At least 8 years of experience in transactional franchise law, including extensive familiarity with U.S. franchising regulations.Active State Bar admission in Minnesota or eligibility for admission via waiver.Proven track record of drafting and managing franchise agreements and regulatory documentation.Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to advise on complex legal issues.Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications
Active membership in good standing with the Minnesota State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.Skills
Proficient in drafting and managing complex franchise agreements and regulatory filings.Strong analytical, organizational, and client management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and provide strategic, solution-oriented advice.
