A law firm seeks a seasoned Franchise Of Counsel to join its Franchise & Distribution group. The position involves providing transactional and regulatory support to clients on U.S. and international franchising matters. Candidates may work remotely or from the Dallas office.Duties
Draft, review, and manage franchise-related agreements, including franchise disclosure documents and regulatory filings.Advise clients on franchise-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and complex business transactions.Offer counsel to both domestic and international clients on compliance with U.S. and global franchise regulations.Represent a wide range of clients, from emerging franchisors to established franchise businesses and private equity firms.Collaborate with team members to provide business-focused solutions and strategic guidance.Requirements
At least 8 years of experience in franchise transactional work, with a focus on regulatory compliance.Active State Bar admission in Texas or eligibility for admission via waiver.Proven ability to independently draft and review franchise documents.Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to provide actionable, business-oriented advice.Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team structure.Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications
Admission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.Skills
Proficiency in drafting and managing franchise agreements, disclosure documents, and related regulatory filings.Excellent analytical and organizational skills.Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Capacity to manage multiple projects and client engagements effectively.
