A law firm seeks a seasoned Franchise Of Counsel to provide strategic legal services in the Franchise & Distribution practice group. This role involves advising clients on franchise regulatory matters, complex transactions, and franchise compliance. Candidates can work from the Atlanta office or remotely.Duties
Draft, review, and manage franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, and related regulatory filings.Advise clients on U.S. franchise law, compliance issues, and complex business transactions.Provide guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and international franchise development.Counsel a range of clients, from emerging franchisors to established brands and private equity firms.Collaborate with a team to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to clients' business goals.Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience in transactional franchise law and regulatory compliance.State Bar admission in Texas or eligibility for admission via waiver.Demonstrated experience in franchise documentation, compliance, and advisory services.Strong business-oriented analytical skills with a strategic approach to legal challenges.Ability to work independently and effectively within a collaborative team.Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications
Texas State Bar admission or eligibility for admission via waiver.Skills
Expertise in drafting franchise agreements and franchise disclosure documents.Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient at managing multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
