A law firm seeks a skilled Franchise Of Counsel to join its Franchise & Distribution practice group. This role involves providing sophisticated franchise regulatory and transactional support to a wide-ranging client base, with the flexibility to work remotely or in the Baltimore office.Duties
Draft, review, and manage franchise agreements and franchise disclosure documents.Offer strategic guidance on franchise compliance, regulatory issues, and complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.Counsel clients on U.S. and international franchise laws and compliance standards.Work with a diverse portfolio of clients, from new franchisors and private equity firms to well-established franchise brands.Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to deliver comprehensive and strategic client solutions.Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience in transactional franchise law and regulatory compliance.Active State Bar admission in Maryland or eligibility for admission by waiver.Demonstrated experience in franchise documentation and regulatory advisory.Strong analytical skills with a business-minded approach to legal challenges.Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications
Maryland State Bar admission or eligibility for admission by waiver.Skills
Proficiency in drafting franchise agreements and franchise disclosure documents.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects efficiently.
