A law firm seeks an experienced Franchise Of Counsel to join its Franchise & Distribution practice group. This role involves advising clients on complex franchise regulatory matters, transactional support, and compliance across diverse industries, with options for remote work or an office-based position in Boston.Duties
Prepare, review, and manage franchise agreements and regulatory filings, including franchise disclosure documents.Provide strategic counsel on franchise compliance and regulatory issues in various transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.Advise both domestic and international clients on franchise laws and operational compliance.Support a wide range of clients, including start-ups, private equity groups, and established franchise brands, with tailored legal solutions.Collaborate with a team of skilled attorneys to deliver comprehensive legal strategies.Requirements
At least 8 years of experience in franchise transactional and regulatory matters.Active State Bar admission in Massachusetts or eligibility for admission via waiver.Proven expertise in drafting franchise documentation and handling regulatory compliance.Strong analytical skills with a business-oriented approach to problem-solving.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cohesive team.Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications
Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.Skills
Advanced skills in drafting franchise-related agreements and regulatory documents.Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet client needs.
